Pet Casket or Pet Coffin sizing is a difficult to determine by the breed of the pet because of the varying heights and lengths of dogs of the same breed and mixed breeds.

The best way to size a pet casket or pet coffin is to measure the length of the pet from tip of nose to the base of the tail for the length of the pet casket, and then measure from the back of the pet to the area where the leg bends (knee joint) of the pet. This would be the bare minimum pet casket size you would need. You should always add a few inches to your measurements to be safe. If you order a pet casket with a deluxe interior you should add a couple of inches to the length and width for the deluxe liner.

Reduce Shipping Cost

It’s a good idea to check with your Vet to see if they would hold your pet for you until your casket arrives via UPS Ground. Having your Vet hold your pet you can save the add cost of 2nd Day Air Shipping or UPS Next Day Air shipping cost. Most Vets that you had a past history with, would likely help you out in this situation. If your Veterinary Office is going to be holding your pet until your pet casket arrives make sure to let them know to position your pets legs the way you measured for the pet casket size you purchased.
